Being asked to professionally photograph high school students gave me the opportunity to build a solid foundation of portraiture skills. Before each shoot I created moodboards of portraiture styles and poses I wanted to emulate, and researched different portrait techniques. I shot primarily late in the afternoon, using a fixed, wide aperture lens, and tried a range of poses, locations, and shooting angles. The result is a series of portraits that are soft, warm, and feel very natural even when posed.

Since I acquired my DSLR camera quite a few years back, I have been taking photos in my spare time whenever I've had my camera on me and happen to see an interesting composition.
